Hello,

Is there a way to move the grid up, down, left and right?

No. You move the camera, or use SHIFT-middle mouse button (the wheel) to drag the view around… but the grid is really staying where it is.

In the 3d window, under the view=>view properties menu, you can control various aspects of grid drawing. But it will always stay centered at the origin, I think.

Ctrl+scroll wheel gives you another degree of manipulation.
