Group/Join, Camera, other EZ questions.

  1. Can I move the camera along the viewing axis? In other words, something like mousewheel up (zooming in on the scene) but the camera physically moves “forward” in space, not just zooming the view in and out. I know I could do it if my camera happened to be aligned with X or Y axis but sadly it’s between them.

  2. Neither join or group quite works as I expect… here’s what I want to do:

  • Group several different things so that they scale and rotate as one
  • Leave them as a group, but select one item in the group and tweak it
  • Select the entire group again (without manually reselecting each item) and
manipulate them as one. And/or ungroup them with one shortcut.

Is this possible?

  1. I saw in a video a shortcut where someone selected an object and used a keyboard shortcut so that each click added to the selection by grabbing adjoining sections. I.e. on a uv sphere, he selected the vertex at the top, then each click added a ring until half the sphere was selected. What’s that shortcut?
  1. Select your camera, g, zz, move mouse
  2. If you are using 2.5 you can view and select groups in outliner
  3. ctrl + numpad+, ctrl + numpad-

Beautiful, thanks very much.
