Group objects in blender

Hello,

Is there a way to create a group of object in blender. Let say I create a table foot made out of different elements and then I group it so that when I move one of the element it move them all. At the moment I can use parent to object but I need to move the appropriate one in order to move all of them.

Another solution I found is creating an empty at the place I want, parent everything to that empty and then make the object parented unselectable to be sure I don’t modify the group. Is there another easier way to do?

Thanks

Make them there own collection maybe? That way you could select the colection, press G to move all of them?

Is there a shortcut to select an entire collection or should I manually go in the hierarchy and right click select all object?

You can assign a shortcut to the select all button via right click assign shortcut and pressing a designated key on the keyboard. but for some reason it isnt working on my end.

You can use Mirror Modifier, if the foot objects are mirrors of each other.
Mirror now works so you can add mirror X,Y to a single foot and then select any of the 4 to move. Rotate and scale work like it is standard mesh.
