Is there a way to group objects together without permanately joining them? That way, I can apply the same rotation, pos, etc to entire groups rather than just one object at time.
You can do this by selecting all the objects you want to rotate, either by R clicking while holding down the shift key in a 3D window, or by hitting Shift-F4 and selecting them from the file object list (R clicking). Then you just have to decide where the center of rotation is. Use one of the choices below any 3D window, i.e. rotate around cursor, around center, etc.
Simple enough I guess.
You could parent your objects in the group to an empty and operate on that empty. You could even give it a significative name or texture it ! If some of the elements of your group-to-be already have parents, choose these rather for the new group.
