straight to the point:
CPU: i5
GPU: nVidia GTS 450
RAM: 8GB
system: W7 x64
display driver: freshest
CUDA: 5.0
blender 2.64a, 2.63, 2.62
CPU rendering in cycles works fine. It’s slow, but it’s ok.
But if you switch to GPU in 2.64 it crashes. No matter what amount of tiles I set - it just crashes a whole program.
When I go to use 2.63 or 2.62, I start rendering with different amount of tiles:
16 - goes slow, but goes.
32 - goes faster, but with more complex scenes it just stops rendering at some point (gets to 125 sample of 500 and finishes rendering)
64 - finishes at the start.
The more tiles - worst it is.
In 2.64a before I uninstaled it I remember I used a viewport rendering seting for 50 samples. And it came to 30 something and stoped showing CUDA error…
If there is any way I can make my story more accurate, please guide me (I’m quite new to blender).
I’d really apreciate your help with this issue, cause I couldn’t find any solution, or anyone having the same problem on the web.
