I’ve seen some people having speed problems and some other GUI problems when using ATI gfx cards, though I can’t seem to find anyone who has this exact problem.
The small square buttons that supposedly have images doesn’t show as they should. There’s just some weird lines, sometimes barely resembling what it should.
I’m running Windows XP sp3 with an old Dell Inspiron 8200. The gfx card is Mobility Radeon 9000
I’ve pretty much toggled every option in the advanced settings for OpenGL and Direct3D, but can’t find any solution there.
I’ve got no problem with text or anything else in the GUI. The software runs perfectly and quite fast for hours without trouble.
Just pretty annoying that I can’t navigate the buttons quickly; having to wait for the tool tip when looking for the right one.
Any ideas?
I’ve just put in all the newest drivers after reformating my drive a day ago, unfortunately. Don’t think there’s any other drivers to get
There’s a bios update for the ATI card, but I sure don’t have a floppydiskdrive for the floppydiskimage that is the only thing you can download to upgrade it. Probably wont help anyway.
Why does the GUI need fancy graphics acceleration anyway? =P
Hehe yes you mentioned Nvidea is great =P
I can unfortunately not change hardware at the moment. I’ll keep it in mind when I buy a new computer in a few months though.
Still hope someone around here might know of a software solution!
