GUI in Blender

I am creating a script for blender, and I want it to be a separate GUI to interact with. Pretty newbie to this, so was wondering if any of you can point me in the right direction?

If it isn’t clear, I am just wanting some documentation about creating a separate GUI for a blender addon. Or anything that can help me.

Thanks.

do you really need this to run parallel to blender? can’t you use the blender ui scripting for some reason?

I was told that UI scripting in blender was not possible, or much more complicated then just using a GUI toolkit. If not, where can I find documentation on this?

Have you looked into python’s tkinter module? tkinter ( not Tkinter ) I’ve been messing around with it this past week. I don’t know how hard it will be to learn for someone new to python, with the added trouble of not really having much documentation on the python side. The Tcl/Tk docs at www.tcl.tk are definitive, but not written for python, so you kind of have to do some mental conversions to figure out the usage in python.

Thanks dustractor. I will take a look at it.
