This is a gun I modeled for an FPS I am helping to make. One thing I know I need to ad dis more bits and bobs on the side of the body, but other than that do you guys have any more suggestions? (Also, there’s a black spot near the front sight when using cycles render, and I cannot seem to get rid of it…).
The black part would seem to be a mis-directioned normal. A simple: A (select all)>Ctrl + N (correct normals) (in edit mode) should do the trick. Nice modeling work too. If for a FPS, then I would suggest attaining more details through a texture map.

Looks a bit like the AK-47. Are you modelling it after any specific gun?
