Hi,
Just look at this : http://blenderartists.org/forum/showthread.php?p=1705200#post1705200

I was afraid of that lol, It looks pretty good but it has the same issue i had with hair which is you can only see one side so if someone goes past the grass then turns around its not visible. extruding fixed the hair problem but isnt fixing the grass. But I will fiddle with the grass planes a bit i might find a fix to the problem.
Thank you
but it has the same issue i had with hair which is you can only see one side
The default is one side, but you can set the faces of your mesh to ‘Two-side’.
In 2.5 you have to change ‘Blender Render’ to ‘Blender Game’ in the top info header. Then when you go to edit mode with an unwrapped mesh new tools appear in your ‘Object Data’ properties. Two-side is one of those
ok i checked and its already set to flipped vertex and double sided and still only seeing one side in the game engine, not sure if thats what your talking about.
No, that’s not the same. ‘Double sided’ is shown in the default Blender Render.
For the ‘Two-side’ option you have to follow the steps I mentioned.
You will see new options appear under ‘Texture Face’
ok i whent to texture face but it didnt show anything so im not sure if im in the right place so heres a pic
if this is wrong then can you post a pic of it?
ok nvm i found it lol i was way off thought you ment in the render settings then i check object data agian and it was right there and its working now,
thankyou you help me alot,
Maybe i am missing the point:
if you just need a plane with an image appearing on both sides, in the game engine, why not bring in the image with the “import image as a plane” ? it does all the work for you and you can edit the plane after importing…
