Hair BSDF + Image Texture

Been looking around and can’t really find any answers to this, but can you use the image texture of an emitter object to govern the colour of the hair coming from it with the Hair BSDF? For example, to achieve a multicoloured hair/fur pattern rather than one flat colour?

Yes you can. Use the texture for the color and use either uv, generated or object for the coordinates. Each child strand in interpolated hair will use the color at its position.
