Hair For a Posed Character

quick question, i hope : i’m testing some hair stuff, and have got the initial look, modelled on the standard T-pose type thing. what do i need to do to get the hair to react correctly to the model (eg, putting a hand in the way moves the hair) or the pose - ie, spreading out and lying flat if i lie the character down?

There isn’t a quick easy way. You’ll have to do very complicated things with force fields to control collisions and plan out the movements ahead of time so you can use camera angles to hide the miscalculations where some hairs pass through the mesh. There have been plenty of discussions of hair dynamics on this forum that have more thorough explanations of the challenges of doing what you’re talking about.
