When I render my scene in blender 2.59, my hair goes crazy and looks like the first picture. However, in the 3d view it looks fine (second picture). does anyone know why this is happening? If needed I can post the .blend.
Thanks a bunch
Hi.
She’s having a “bad hair day”, LOL.
Seriously: there are a lot of influences, that could be causing this effect.
Your .blend file, would help other members, isolate the problem.
Have you added other simulations, (cloth dynamics etc)?
Check the section of the particle generator that covers path types and make sure it is not physical.
If you are using the “advanced” rendering option; “object speed”, “brownian motion” etc, will all have an effect on the final output, including strand length and direction.
Hopefully we’ll all get to the bottom of this problem.
Regards.
Cig.
PS: What are the two lines, running across the 3d View, in picture ‘B’?
I got something similiar to this when “Hair Dynamics” where enabled in the Particle system - and not changed the settings… Or maybe you forgot to show the children (while in 3D view) hair particles - and it really looks like that.
Hope it works out.
