Hair model with no faces

I was playing with Blender’s particle system to try to make hair, and after modeling it how I wanted it but getting frustrated about it randomly changing after attempting to render, I stupidly decided to convert it and remove the actual particle system. And now I have a mesh with thousands of edges and vertices and no faces. I really just want to render it somehow. The skin modifier doesn’t work and doesn’t really seem ideal for this situation anyway. Is there a way to make it render edges with no faces?

Edit: I just realized this should probably go under rendering, even though its kind of related to modeling.

Is there a way to make it render edges with no faces?
Edges have zero thickness so there is nothing to render.

On your original problem you have failed to supply sufficient info (no demo blend file)

Yeah know edges don’t have thickness, I was wondering if there was some sort of work-around. I fixed it anyway, I converted the mesh to a curve and adjusted the extrude value.
