Hello,
I am following along some beginner dynamics tutorials on CG Cookie, and have run into an issue. I have a sphere and a ground plane. I set the ground as a passive rigid body and the sphere as an active rigid body. When played, the sphere falls and hits the ground as expected.
When I give the sphere a particle system, the particles are emitted from the sphere as it falls as expected. When I change the particle type to Hair, the hair strands respond to the gravity, but stay where they are and don’t move with the sphere.
I have attached the blend file, and am using Blender 2.8.Hair_Particles_Test.blend (824.3 KB)
Agreed, it’s broken, even when you ‘use modifier stack’ in the emitter particle settings, which you had not (thought that might be it!).
It looks like it’s been known about for a year or so- https://developer.blender.org/T58044
So don’t hold your breath…
