Hair particles from specific vertex groups

Hi! I’m struggling a lot with making hair grow only from specific vertex groups of mesh from which hair grows. I tried to do whatever i could using diffrent tutorials and explanations but nothing works :c

Hello.

You can use Generate Hair Curves followed by Trim Hair Curves to generate the initial hair. The only issue is that when you set the Surface to the “parent” object, you’ll need to manually type in the vertex group for Density Mask - it doesn’t appear in a list initially for some reason.

After that you can add (before the Surface Deform) other modifiers to add frizz, curls, etc.
