So, when I have hair that’s going in the direction of the scalp, I notice many of the child hairs are actually starting above the scalp. I can think of a couple of ways to deal with this, but I am wondering if there’s a way to go about it without ‘faking it’. Appreciate an suggestions…bit of a hair grooming noob here…having some good results so far though.
(edit) …i’m thinking about trying it backwards…so the root is actually the tip…will report back.
I’m a blender noob too but I see an option that will let you intersect hair particles with the model surface, in particle edit mode there is a deflect emitter option. You can turn it off completely or set the distance, so I guess you would lower yours to make them closer to the head. I don’t know if that would cause any problem or not. I hope that helps you a little.
yeah I actually turned the deflect emmitor value off, I guess I will scale down my emmitor and try it that way.
