When I have bones in a character and apply hair and go to vertex groups after I painted the head where I want the hair, there is no group only bones, if I click on any of the bones, the hair is there, how do I bypass the bones and use the regular vertex group, like a mesh that does not have bones.
if you upload your .blend file we will be able to take a look and give you a better idea of whats going on. The description doesnt make alot of sense without screenshots etc
