I modeled a deer and added hair. It looked pretty good but then I hid it and made some improvements on the sculpt and texture paint, not changing the vertex count, and when I unhid the fur the interpolated child hairs were very random. I’ve checked all the child settings, and have even deleted all the particle systems and started over, but its still very rough. Do you know how to fix this?
It could possibly have something to do with the texture paint. It could be one of two things:
- You could have accidently used vertex paint instead of texture paint
- Your texture could be affecting the particle system. Is it set to affect it in any way such as changing the thickness in certain places?
