Hairy eyeball !

I don’t know why I wanted to do this… it started out as one of those dog toys with the little rubber strings. I decided to add an eye.
I don’t know what to do with it now… any ideas?

Add some soft bodies and a hill and let it roll down the hill!!! would take forever but it would look so cool!

I haven’t used soft bodies yet, is there a good tutorial somewhere ?

i need help on that subject too? anyone have a tutorial?

There are lots of tutorials on soft bodies here at the forums. It’s just a matter of searching a bit. And that eye would look cool with less, shorter, wider hair. As you said, one of those rubber toys.

What happened to the good old days when people actually played with the settings to find out how something worked? I’m not opposed to tuts, but do we really need them for every daggone thing?

Anyway, sorry to hijack your thread.

I’m not really sure how softbodies would work on those strips gping down a hill… There might be some funky clipping issues…

EDIT: You could also do with making those strips cast shadows. If your using particles w/ halos, there’s an option for that somewhere in the halo settings panel. To make some neat effects, you could also play with particle deflection going down a hill. (this is assuming you used static particles.)
