Hairy Head - Weight paint not working?

Hi there, this

is my hairy head. I don’t like him this hairy, probably just like you, but my weight paint isn’t working like it should. I can create a cube and weight paint it perfectly, but the head is just immune to this kind of paint.

What is causing this? Any idea? My head can’t handle the weight of his head not handling the weight paint…

Downloaded your file , i found that if you hit the delete button next to where it says texface in the mesh pane ( in the screen pic you posted its just above the words elysiun on the task bar) then weightpaint performed as it should.
