I love the Dracofungus characters by Coliandre, so I wanted to practice 3D sculpting and understand how to do a better retopology and how maps work by recreating this character.
With trial and error, I realized, that for me, I prefer to block with as many basic shapes as possible.
For the details, because the body is translucent, I decided to make the roots of the “spikes” transparent to hide the base that overlaps with the main body.
