halo disappear

when I’m adding a palne, put a textur on it an set the halo flag to the textureface, my object is disappaering in the gamemode. When I set billboard, then it is visible.
Do you know the reason for that?
Can anyone tell me step by step how I create an halo? Or an object thats everytime faces the camera.


I help myself.
When I add the plane in top view and rotate alle vertice 90° on y-axis it works fine. I added a blendfile with that.
Can you explain me why I have to do so? I dont understand that…
