Halos thru RayTransp?

Is there a way to have halos visible through a transparent object (raytransp)? I happen to be working on a very halo and transparency dependent scene, but I can’t see any halos behind the transparent object- I can, however; see solid objects behind it.

Thanks for your replies.

don’t use halos, raytracing can’t see them

or don’t use raytracing, use an envmap instead [envmaps can see halos]

weeps softly

… Eh Zbuff/envmap should work just as well with better render times. Thanks for the tip!

How about instead of halos you use planes with a blend (halo) texture on them? Then just have those planes track the camera so you always see the planes head-on.

Hi !

I’m not sure, but you could try the Unified render. I had this problem several months ago, and I believe I solved it using the Unified render.

I don’t remember exactly…

Try and tell me !
Good luck !
