Hand rig issue --- Blenrig5

Hi guys, I’e this strange issue with this character
Where i scale the main controller of the hand and after that I rotate the end the hand destroye…
I swa Agent 337 rig and the glow is the same…
Any ideas about this issue?

I solved it disabling “preserve volume” but I would to know the reason about this issue. In fact, i saw that it works very well on Agent327 charcter

That’s creepy…
Please upload a blend file. You can cut the model off at the elbow and delete anything else that isn’t part of the issue.

I am a big fan of Preserve Volume and to my mind though it might hide the problem it’s not a real fix.

here I attached the file, with only arm issue.
If u scale the hand controller and than, rotate the fk controller, you can find that the mesh expolodes.

I also found a note about the author of Bledring in wihtich he explain the Preserve volume issue that sometimes can happen

At that moment the only solution I found is to disable the preserve volume but, yes, it’s different.

Thank You. This is the first time I’ve messed with Blenrig. I looked into it a bit last night and this might be well outside of my pay-grade. It’s a lot more complex than I had assumed.

Stay tuned.

EDIT: I looked at it and I’m stumped. The rig doesn’t seem to be doing anything that would cause the problem. This is the “fing_lit_1_def_R” vertex group blowing up, but the bone doesn’t seem to do anything…

Toggling different rig options, including some that aren’t meant to be toggled, do seem to affect it, but shutting off preserve volume seems to be the only thing that fixes it.

As I said, it’s way outside of my pay-grade.
