. . . to all who celebrate (it’s a tumblr meme). Yet another rubber duck, this time with toy hats.

A rubber ducky in a toy top hat (derby hat included with visibility off). Origin of the hats are center of the duck’s spherical head for easier posing; includes a suction cup. All-quads topology with minimal N-E poles only. Careful UV layout (hatband island is split/stacked to give it more resolution), with texture, roughness, and subsurface maps packed. Manifold, but not made for 3D printing. Please note that although these are CC0 Public Domain, one of the references was a Liberty Imports Jumbo Rubber Duck.
The duck needs a level of subdivision (mainly for the beak) – because the models were intended for Sketchfab (any subdivision must be applied) I didn’t reduce the topology, there are loops (especially in the hats) that can be dissolved to lower the polycount a bit without substantial impact to the models.
However, because this is CC0 Public Domain, I won’t be putting it up on Sketchfab until they allow free accounts to use that (sorry Bart, I tried).
Edited to add:
In a couple of days the last of the Sherlock Holmes canon becomes public domain in the last place on Earth it wasn’t yet, the USA, yay! To celebrate, for this Duck in a Top Hat Thursday I’ve added a toy Deerstalker hat to make John Watson and Sherlock Holmes duckies.

There’s a coronation coming up, right? Still all-quads topology with minimal N-E poles only (can’t promise the toy crown’s topology is particularly “good”, but I tried) and careful UV layout. Still CC0 Public Domain.
