This is just a quick little model I created tonight so I could play with Substance Painter. By gods do I love that piece of software. It was also so I could practice some hard surface modelling.
I’m sure that those familiar with Substance will know where I started my base texturing from, but as I play with it more I’m learning more and more tricks.
There are some issues with the shading on the other side of the head, even though I symmeterised (is that even a word?) it, which can’t be seen from this side. I’ve no idea why.
Anyway, happy enough for a few hours playing.
Modeled in 2.81a, textured in Substance Painter, rendered in Cycles. I still find that the Cycles denoiser gives off some serious banding, but still, this is not about that.
