Harakiri (Project: The Other) - COMPLETED

Haha now thats evil!
Film is and art - It’s purposefully dimly lit

oh and thanks for the advice

Finished the story board for the first scene… please excuse the crappy drawings, it was a rushed job for some of them :stuck_out_tongue:

So far I think it looks pretty good. Now I can see why it was missing that pane of glass in your renders in the first place. However if you want it a little more realistic snipers would never do that simply because its just to obvious if you change the glass to shutters and the slat is angled for your shooter to see out and everyone else not to see in it would add a little more realisum to the video. Other wise it looks like a nice start.

Thanks Rallici, but I’ve already completed that scene and my deadline does not permit me to spend too much time on one thing.

Yea I know what ya mean, just food for thought if you ever do somthing else like this for the future.

Yeah thanks
I’m wondering if I’ll ever finish this film and make it decent by October…
Best thing to do I suppose would be to make the first and the last scene, then make the other important scenes and then fill in some of the less important scenes that don’t actually matter.
I sure as hell better get a good grade for this or I’ll… do something diabolical…

I would love to see somthing diabolical, maybe a little stewie (famly guy referance). I have gotten some advice from Brent Weeks, Night Angel trilogy, “Once you finish wrighting your story redo the begining to get it better and make it conform to the rest of the story.” Now I went from memory on that, but you get the jist. Don’t fret so much on the begining work out the whole thing than go back and redo the begining to make it pop.

Hey this isn’t a film… sort of… it’s a work of art. Its not about the story line, it’s about the concept - which I suppose is impossible to see at this stage of development. I’ve got every last detail planned out. Any change, even slight, made to the beginning will destroy the integrity of concept.
The medium of a narritive film is simply a means to an end. A means I happen to enjoy, and hence chose despite my art teacher’s trqditional disposition.
I don’t mean to be mean or anything, just trying to explain my intensional ignorance towards creating realistic circumstances and a good story
Thanks for all the help though, I’ll definity keep it in mind when creating my next film

Well trust me I don’t take much personaly, all I am trying to say is don’t get stuck in one spot to long or you might just end up buggering yourself in the long run.

I completely agree with that  deadlines are a bitch

doing a little more for the first scene…
this is only shown for like 3 seconds so… yeah… not much work put into it.

Well this looks vaguely familiar…

Haha you’re right it does

I think it looks cool, but you should add a logo or somthing to the projection.

Yeah, that was my plan… but what to add that would be appropriate is hard to find. Any ideas?

Did some lighting an compositing tests for the second last scene… all the junk in the middle is kinda irrelevant…

The camera angles here are not all going to be used in the scene… some of them are though
