Hardness Blender Internal, Help!

Hello! So i was playing arround with Blender Internal again and trying to put a texture in the “Hardness” factor, the problem is… it dosen’t work, and i never could find a awnser, for example:

Dosen’t give the right results, it dosen’t follow the texture values, so, is possible to use a texture to control the hardness value in Blender Internal? anyone can help? thanks!

Hi,
just enable the “RGB to Intensity” checkbox (the one right above the pink slot), it should work.

Hey! thanks for the help! now the problem is that the black values are being controlled by this factor and not by the texture itself.

Yes, put the “Hardness” value in the material panel to the minimum (should be 1, if I’m not wrong), so the texture can act.

Thank you!
