I have downloaded a simple 3bedroom-house.dxf file which had a tutorial illustrating how to construct a 3D model from the 2D plan, elevation and side views by (snapping?). I have somehow managed to lose the tutorial that came with it. Could anyone please direct me back to that link? I tried very hard to google for it but could not locate the original source. Also cannot import the .dxf with Blender; “error parsing…”
could it be this?

there are two dxf importers in Blender 2.48:
file>import>dxf
file>import>autodesk dxf
one of them should work…
Nope, same error message on both: “error inputting line 45000” . I have recently upgraded to Jaunty, could that have been the reason, and if so what can i do to remedy it?
It is available as a .blend file at the bottom of the page - http://yorik.orgfree.com/tutorials/3bedroom-house.blend
Also, here is one I imported -
3bedroom_house-plan.blend (777 KB)
