The problem is that there is a pause during rendering and the same section with a pause (stop from Finishing or Composing message)
If a pause occurs, it does not proceed and remains the same.
I checked that the condition of the pause is
Creating Composing.
Starting with blender5.0, Composing has changed in a new way.
A method of creating a new node.
Changing the rendering image size of the rendering window during rendering (mouse scrolling)
※ Keyboard or mouse use is thought to be relevant
I don’t know if this is related to the issue, but it’s tiling use.
※ In blender 5.0, there is no option to disable tiling.
It doesn’t seem clear to say that this issue is a bug.
The pause phenomenon occurs under the conditions presented, but it does not seem to be 100% the same. The conditions are high frequency of occurrence.
It seems necessary to test the proper tiling size.
The optimal tiling size can be important because the proper tiling size is related to VRAM memory consumption and rendering speed.
Ahh… so since my VRAM was too low in the past anyway i didn’t checked the actual development… but with my new card everything is sooo fast that i totally forgot to dig into this topic .
That’s right. Until recently, blender users didn’t think tiling was important.
Many of the tiling tests were done on 2.79 when using CPU.
And during that time, Auto Tiling Addon came out
