hey yall, having some trouble here. im making an FPS and for some strange reason my lighting is messed up. the lamps, sun etc. arent casting light in game. and the Materials+textures i add to the meshes dont appear prior to running the game nor during the game. only when i hit F12. can someone explain to me what may be wrong?
It might be easier if you post a blend. Did you see if changing it to multitexture helps anything
ok here is my blend, if you can figure out whats wrong that would help me out greatly. thanks a lot

your sun’s energy is very low. It does not cast enough light to illuminate the scene.
Also you say ‘lamps’ even though there is only one (the sun). You seem to have a flashlight modeled, but it does not have a lamp attached to it.
can you explain how to get a texture to work properly on the walls and floors? cuz those arent working either. is there a rendering setting i need to make it allow textures during gameplay.
Try going to the render settings panel and changing it from multitexture to GLSL. Then set the viewport mode to textured view instead of solid or wireframe.
Also, your textures MUST be set to use UV mapping in order to show in-game. (Texture panel >> Mapping section >> Coordinates : UV)
You’ll also have to unwrap your mesh(es). (Select object, go to Edit Mode, select all vertices (A), press U key, choose unwrap) - this is the quick and dirty way to unwrap a mesh, by the way.
it says my object scale must be 1.0 to unwrap. how do i fix that?
Press Control + A, and then select Scale from the menu that appears to apply the scale to the object.
It sounds that you might need to look at some tutorials: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7wgVpwf_bCc
