This is the first time I’ve had this problem and I’m fairly new to this whole 3D animation thing in general so I could really use some help. I’m trying to apply an image texture to a cube and it shows up like this:
I don’t really know much about textures yet, but this obviously isn’t normal. Its supposed to look like a stone wall like a castle wall. Anyone have any ideas on what I’m not doing right? I don’t know a lot about this, so I’m hoping its a simple fix.
Is the wall a flat plane? If so then the mapping must be wrong so the texturing is trying to stretch over the surface. Go into the image mapping panel and see what the mapping type is (ie. Win, Nor, UV…)
The object is a cube. I went to the Map Input tab and it says Orco and Cube are selected. I’m pretty sure those are the defaults when I first put it on.
