Having trouble weight painting correctly for Unity

I am trying to make a model with a really simple animation for a Unity game but I’m having a lot of trouble with the weight painting. The issue I’m having is that the way the weights work is different in Blender than in Unity. In Blender if a vertex without weight is next to a vertex with a weight, the vertex without weight moves a little, but in Unity this doesn’t happen. Is there a way to make the weights in Blender behave like in Unity when weight painting so I can edit the weights such that the animation looks well in Unity?
