HAVING TROUBLE WITH BLENDER

EVERYTIME I OPN BLENDER THE BLACK SCREEN THAT SHOWS UP ALWAYS SAYS

‘import site’ failed; use -v for traceback
No installed Python found.
Only built-in modules are available. Some scripts may not run.
Continuing happilly.

HOW COME IT SAYS THAT?

Install python.

If you are not using Python scripts then it doesn’t matter.

HOW COME IT SAYS THAT?

Because it wants you to know that it tried the import site and found nothing. Which means no Python is installed, which means that only built-in Python modules will work and that some scripts might not run because they need outside modules. It also wants you to know that the Blender program is continueing happily and you should not trouble yourself unnecessarily.

What it doesn’t say is that typing “traceback” in the search function would save me typing all this, and that Phlip’s post was useless.

ONCE PYTHON IS INSTALLED MAKE SURE YOU SET YOUR PYTHON PATH CORRECTLY.

YOU CAN FIND DETAILS ON HOW TO DO THIS IN THE PYTHON FORUM.

By the way, SHOUTING won’t increase your chances of getting help from other people.

Sonix.

I AM NOT SHOUTING. I ALWAYS WRITE IN ALL CAPS

Please stop.

All caps is shouting.

Trust me … that’s a good way to say goodbye to Elysiun and any help you might hope to find here. There aren’t too many forum sites (I can think of none) on the internet that will put up with shouting. And yes, all caps is shouting.
