HD Shadows in runtime

I was wondering if there is a way to create good quality shadows in the runtime with like using a sun or hemi instead of using alot of spotlights or baking the textures. Maybe with a python script or something.


I dont think that this is possible with BGE, unfortunably for us, maybe on the next release, instead of using a lot of spot lights you can animate them to fallow some patterns, i made an simple example that is on the resources area of this forum, its pretty easy to make and this ll save a lot the processment, for a more complex game you ll need more at least 2 spot lights(and i think that 2 is more than enough.
