Hi, I’m relatively new to Blender, and I have a question concerning the use of HDR lighting in animations.
After being introduced to HDR lighting, I’ve found it to be very effective, so I’ve used it on most of my still-image renders. However, is this type of lighting system optimal for animations?
I’m aware of the render-time consequences of using HDRs, but I believe the quality somewhat outweighs that consequence. Thanks for answering my question
I used an HDR for the music video I just completed. (check the YouTube link in my Signature).
Its all outdoor scenes and my modelling and animation skill are still very much beginner level. But on the subject of the HDR I think it rendered a little slower but since I did not have to try to setup the lighting it was easier for me.
