Hello all

I have a quick question regarding producing a HDRI map to use as a background texture, from scratch.

What I would like to know, is, is there a way to convert an image which is completely flat in nature, to being equirectangular?

As an example, attached is an image (work in progress) that I would like to use as a background. However when I set it as the background texture it is, as you would expect, distorted as you near the poles. I have taken a look at Flexify to see if that will convert it appropriately, but you cannot input something which is completely ‘flat’. Is there a way to transform it appropriately?

Thank you
