hi freinds, where can i get HDRi probes? and maybe some documentation on how to set them up in yafray??

i can’t remember where to download them, but you can make one by setting up a scene in blender, and rendering a reflective sphere in the middle of it. just remember to save in the hdri format.

Do you want the probe itself(chrome ball) or HDR images?

Google ‘paul debevec’ for hdri images, but if you want to create your own, buy a large christmas balls or chinese excercise ball. I got mine for after xmas from a dollar store for 2 bucks. Captured using an entry level Digicam:

The blender wiki has an exact how to on setting up HDRI in yafray.
I’m at work now, so can’t post the link but go the wiki and search for hdri.
