Hi it seems to me that the Hdris are too dark. I always have to bump them up to min. of 2 to get it to look right. Am i doing something wrong. exposure is set to 1.
Hi,
it happens both in viewport and renders or just in viewport?
Good question. I have to check. But why would that be different ?
Don’t know, just starting some guessing but I don’t think it could be something tbh.
In any case I tried the same hdri you are using with exposure at 1 and it looks right to me.
I think that many “HDRI”'s out there are not really high dynamic range, they are 360 equirectangular images but do not have HDR. I have found huge differences in lighting between different hdri’s I have downloaded.
BG_Division, you are right. I must have messed up the texures on the way. the textures on the model are much darker than the default material. Thanks. DNorman, i also think the Quality differs a lot. I just got confused because all the textures i tried where too dark, so i thought there might be some setting, i missed. Thanks guys
Yepp… this old one explains something about the exposure…
…so not every EXR is a good HDRI
Thanks Okidoki
