This is a little offtopic for the Newbie Workshop thread here https://blenderartists.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=55417, and I don’t want to derail that topic with talk of hdrs and so on, so here is a yafray + beach probe render of my WIP hellfire missile. You may notice some odd “scuff” marks down the side, which seem to be due to sub-surf in yafray. Haven’t tracked that down yet.
Looks good so far.
In my experience, Yafray hates Setsmooth, but using the Autosmooth option can fix this problem.
I think you missed the point of the excersize which was to first make the model, and then learn how to UVmap it, after which time you could then do the HDRI image, but right now it just does not look finished, no paint job, no decals etc. HDRI images are easy to do IMO.
