Just wanted to say Hello after registering and ask a few questions. I decided after a year and a half break to go back to college for a technical degree and wanted to get a jump-start on 3D modeling and such.
I found blender and am so far very impressed. I have started modeling everything in site, a kitchen knife, my couch, and I followed the die tutorial on the wiki.
Anyway, yeah. Most of us around here are reasonably friendly, if not actually entirely sane. Any questions you may have will usually be answered fairly quickly and pictures you put up will usually receive their share of attention. It’s not a bad forum.
I swear, every time someone starts a hello thread, we end up scaring them away…
But seriously, welcome to the forum. Start watching video tutorials, they’re unbelievably helpful when you’re getting started. Take a look at the gallery for some inspiration.
I am also new here (just registered yesterday), but I didn’t feel like starting another “Hello!” thread. So, anyway… Hi!
One quick question: Is it better to model stuff using Sculpt mode?
