Hellstation Gun Movement?

Does anyone know how it’s done?
I’ve searched the forum but found nothing…

Thanks in advance…

i think in the original hellstation thread, peterT said that there was a few frame delay on it.

Its just a slow parent.

Ok, thanks guys

Yes, I used the slow parent to get a delay. To bad it depends on the speed of the machine. :frowning:

One way you can fix that is to put the arms on an overlay scene and copy the orientation of the shoulder. Ive got a really old blend if you dont get what I mean.

and squishes the parented object when moved fast

Darn it :frowning: But it’ll do I suppose

and squishes the parented object when moved fast

not if you use vertex parents, but then you lose rotation

Well, with vertex parenting, you can parent up to 3 vertices. So you can still get the rotation with vertex partenting (I’m not sure if it still squishes though, I think it does).

Is it possible to make a compromise between the two?

Copy the orientation with python, it works but you can’t control the amount of frame delays, but there is a delay.
