i think in the original hellstation thread, peterT said that there was a few frame delay on it.
Its just a slow parent.

Yes, I used the slow parent to get a delay. To bad it depends on the speed of the machine. 
One way you can fix that is to put the arms on an overlay scene and copy the orientation of the shoulder. Ive got a really old blend if you dont get what I mean.

not if you use vertex parents, but then you lose rotation
Well, with vertex parenting, you can parent up to 3 vertices. So you can still get the rotation with vertex partenting (I’m not sure if it still squishes though, I think it does).
Is it possible to make a compromise between the two?
Copy the orientation with python, it works but you can’t control the amount of frame delays, but there is a delay.
