As you can see…i just started making other stuff…armor is still VERY simple. :-?

Hmmmm…another update.

I put some color on armor and i put more details on it.

I have started to think about what thing could use that armor…dunno if i ever make it but i think i will finish armor…

Excellent work so far Repa^. You have made some great progress since you started. Keep going.

I really can’t find anything to complain about in the modelling department. I love the texture on the horns - they look very real and touchable. The black metal however needs a lot of work. Right now I feel it looks too even and plasticy. What might help is to have a dirty brushed metal texture to break up those large areas of specularity, and some sort of bump map to add virtual details to the surface like you did with the horns. Also, since the horns look so earthy, a pure “paint” black armour looks a little off, but the textures might solve that issue as well.

but… for some reason im quite happy with that black metal…but i could try something else.

I’m glad you kept working on this after the helmet - the rest of the armour is looking just as impressive and you managed to maintain a consistency of style so that one doesn’t look out of place with the other.

I too am not a great fan of the black material - but you can worry about the texturing stuff later.

Now - what’s next?

Im quite sure that i add something more on legs but…now im worrying about boots because i want them to look cool :slight_smile: .

Give the hands asort o f chainmail look.

Nice design. But how about make every armour piece a seperate object. Like the shoulder armour and gloves and so on. And make the inner armour like a mideviel Inner armor. Search google for medevil armour.

But be sure to spell it right.

Looking cool, but… by the way it looks as the proportions are not so right. It appears as if the legs came down from the torso, without a pelvis area…

did you ever play Myth 2, by Bungie? this guy is starting to remind me of the Stygian Knight character for some reason.
it does look a bit out of proportion but it seems fitting with this character. what really looks weird, IMHO, is that the shoulder is a part of the rest of the armour. Real armour would not be build like this because the shoulder would be immobilized.

Now i need some ideas how to hide neck area… i tried to make some smoke but i suck with particles…

looks great,…i would UV map the horns maybe. the piece of armor that covers the neck is called a gorchet i think.
