Looking for help with errors loading Blender 2.5 alpha 2. Image attached.
Maybe these errors would go away if I could get it to find python, but no matter what I try, it can’t find python. I have python 3.1 installed and the environment path variable set.
It seems to be complaining about some python modules, before the final DLL error? Any idea why it can’t find python? I assume it would report finding it if it did. Python 3.1.2 is in my search path variable.
Yes, I have the Visual C++ package. And Blender 2.5 seems to run properly afterwards, but I don’t know how I’d tell if parts of the interface are missing. I already don’t know how to find anything in 2.5. Like, how do I edit a point on an F-curve to a specific value? What used to be N in edit mode on the IPO curve editor? Ack!

They are all calls to the missing (or not found) DLL from the NetRender Module. For some reason its trying it init a Network Render script, which it’ll probably stop doing the next alpha build you download. If blender is working forget about it and head over to the Tutorials Forum where there are some excellent intros to 2.5.
