Help! Cannot use gpu for cycles render

Here are my specs:
16 gb corsair ram
Zotac GTX 1660
AMD Ryzen 5 2600

For some reason, i cannot use my gpu to render in cycles mode.
I go to the preferences tab, select the CUDA and then select my gpu:

I then choose cycles, and gpu compute, however, all that does is make the poject all dark grey:

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but do you have any objects with faces? it looks like you might have just an unfilled wireframe as your only mesh object, so changing it to rendered view would result in gray because you aren’t rendering anything other than the background (vertices and edges aren’t rendered). Try Shift+A and add a cube or something to check.
