Whenever I press “p” or “start game”, Blender crashes. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
That is a very vague question. What version of blender? Whats in the scene? What are your computers specs?
The scene the default. One cube, one camera, one light.
I’ll get back to you on my comp specs, but I think it’s enough to be able to run a game with one cube.
OK, some specs:
Capacity: 512 MB
Model: VIA/S3G UniChrome IGP
Tuesday, December 07, 2004
AMD Athlon™ XP 2800+
Version: x86 Family 6 Model 10 Stepping 0
Speed: 2082 MHz
and I’m running XP.
Yes I would hope so. If other versions of blender worked for you, try reinstalling blender. Your installation might be corrupted or something.
I’ve already tried reinstalling it once. I haven’t tried any older versions yet so I think I’ll try that and I’ll tell you whether it works. Thanks!
I found that some intalled programs crash the blender game engine on start up. On windows go to the lower right hand corner of the screen and close any programs you don’t reconize. I also found that the program “Super Screen Capture” will crash blender.
I just downloaded an older version and it did work, but I noticed that when I tried it this time I wasn’t running my antispyware thing down on the bottom right which probably was the cause. Anyway, problem solved. Thanks for your help, I’ve been trying to figure this out all day.<br>
