Help creating this shape

Hi,
I am desperate: I cannot create the shape in the red square on the picture.
How to do it ?

It’s driving me crazy.

I use the latest Blender version 4.3.

Thanks a lot guys

I started with a shape like this:

I made it from a curve spiral and then converted to mesh and extruded a few verts to make the tail. You could also use a circle and proportional editing, probably.

Then I extruded it along the Z, and used a cylinder boolean:

Obviously I’d take more time to get the shapes more accurate for a real asset, but this is the general approach I’d take. Then just tidy up topology after applying the boolean.

Please follow the opinion of @grant.r.brown .
Once the basic form is created, it is not difficult to edit and change the mesh. :slightly_smiling_face:

The Extra Objects (curves) addon hase also spirals… so you can use them as a template to build up a mesh like so:

You can start with circle, extrude it inwards:

Move some verices using proportional editing:

Extrude edge:

Tune shape:

Extrude lover edge and scale it wit Z axis to “0”:

Fill rest of the geometry:

Add bevel and subdivide:

Tune it more to have desired shape
