Help finding a good topology

Hi, I’m new to blender and I’ve been working on a model of my own for some time. I’m getting some problems and I think, as other users have kindly pointed out in another thread, that wrong topology is the cause. The parts that are giving me more trouble are quiet complex, at least to me, and although I have tried many ideas I can’t find a satisfactory topology.
I would appreciate any suggestions!

Here is a blender file with the aforementioned parts:help.blend (585 KB)

You need to give a bit more information, the mesh looks like it’s part of a vehicle.

General rules of topology is to have good edge flow, mostly quad faces and more or less equally sized faces.

It is indeed part of a vehicle! 2 is the side panel that includes the rear wheel arch and 1 is what would be the hood and windshield. What information should I include?
I’m aware of those rules, but I haven’t been able to get the right shape while respecting them.
Thanks for your answer!

For starters, the vehicle model (brand, year, etc)

i worked a bit on your file, how does it look now?
help.blend (592 KB)

DCBloodHound: it is not a real car, but one i invented myself, I don’t have a name for it yet!

khan01: that is very interesting! I will try to get the exact shapes and details starting with what you did and using some edge creasing. May I ask what method you used, if there was any?

Thanks for your help!

i just used @GrimZA advices, and tried to keep all the faces the same size.
the looptools addon helps a lot. expecially the relax and distance tools.
try to keep a good distance from vertex to vertex and be sure that the edges creates a regular curve.

One thing to keep in mind when it comes to topology. You can always do retopology on top of some messy work.
