Help finding an alternative?

Hi all, I have a scene which is running into a bit of trouble when it comes to visibility and contrast. My object has a glass component, while my backdrop (as per request) is a warm, dark shade of grey (similar to the very grey of the blenderartists site). The glass I am using has ranged from a tinted glass bsdf to a tinted translucent one, and even just a diffuse. None of them really get the contrast I need while maintaining the appearance of glass. Any suggestions?
