help, how do you move vertices to align to other vertices?

Hello, I saw someone do this in a tutorial once but didn’t explain the hotkey how he did it.

something like this:
select the vertices

then move the vertices to align

PS: I am using blender 2.49b because 2.5 and above is buggy in my computer.

Thanks a lot.

Its scale key [S] than inter X, Y, or X axis than key in zero.

If you want to align it with the last vertex, choose that vertex alone, then press shift+s, choose “Cursor to Selection” then change your pivot to the cursor by pressing the period key. Then select all your vertices and do the scaling bit that ridix describes.

To get out of using the cursor as pivot press the comma key.
